Wight Shipyard Co is Europe's leading high speed craft and aluminium ship builder located on Britain's Isle of Wight.

Wight Shipyard Co (WSC) started life in 2010 as Shemara Refit LLP, born out of a unique project to manage the revival of a magnificent motor yacht to her former glory. Since then the business has grown exponentially and in 2016 was restyled as WSC sealing its future under a clear and recognisable identity.

With first class managerial, design and technical expertise WSC has recorded exceptional success in the fast ferry sector, delivering high performance cutting edge designs and the most comfortable passenger accommodation in fuel-efficient hullforms.

WSC followed its 2016 delivery of Red Funnel’s 41 metre fast ferry Red Jet 6 with two new 32 metre high speed craft for London’s MBNA Thames Clippers. The two new 172 capacity passenger boats, a £6.3 million investment in London’s port and transport infrastructure, marked a record in being the largest fast ferry order for a UK ship yard in over 20 years. Mercury Clipper and Jupiter Clipper entered service in summer 2017 having taken 10 months to build, creating over 75 new jobs across the Isle of Wight and London.

That delivery was followed by an international order for a 39 metre vessel, the third for the shipyard in as many weeks.  At the end of August 2017 Red Funnel confirmed an order for a second 41 metre high speed passenger ferry, followed soon after when Scotland’s Jacobite Cruises placed an order for a 21 metre day cruise catamaran for Loch Ness.
